What items are accepted for recycling?
The RockTenn Company Recycling Center, located at 1775 County Services Parkway, Marietta, accepts office paper, plastics 1-7, junk mail, newspapers, magazines, phone books, green glass, brown glass, clear glass, aluminum cans, tin cans, as well as car and truck batteries.
What do we do with our recyclables?
Residents can bring their recyclables to the RockTenn Company Recycling Center, public entrance, located to the right of the facility's main building.
Oil or antifreeze brought for recycling should be taken to the Advanced Waste Disposal transfer station located at 1897 County Services Parkway, next to the old jail.

Can you tell me where the Advanced Disposal Transfer Station is? What are its hours?
The transfer station is located at 1897 County Services Parkway next to the old jail. The station is operated by the Cobb County Solid Waste Department, andis open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The phone number is (770) 485-8940.
A minimum $7 fee allows residents to dispose of up to 400 pounds of materials at the station. Residents are encouraged to contact Advanced Disposal at (770) 485-8940 for disposal pricing over the minimum.
Residents wanting to dispose of tires should call Advanced for pricing.
The transfer station does not take yard debris such as grass clippings, limbs, bushes, or leaves. In addition, they cannot accept hazardous wastes such as paint, household chemicals, or any pressurized fuel containers such as propane or acetylene tanks of any size.
Where do I take Yard Debris?
Yard debris such as grass clippings, limbs, bushes, or leaves should be taken to the TAG Grinding Services, Inc. facility at 2150 County Services Pkwy. There is a charge for this service. For more information, please contact their office at (770) 432-7193.
