A longtime West Cobb County resident, Helen Goreham spent much of her time pursuing community-related involvement.
Goreham is a former president of People looking After Neighborhoods (PLAN) a founding member of the Kolb Farm Coalition, a former steering committee member of Homeowners Opposed to Power line Encroachment (HOPE) and she held leadership positions with local PTSA's. Goreham also is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Cobb and a 2005 graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute.
Goreham is a physical therapist with a B.S. from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. and a M.A. in Health Care Administration from National University in San Diego. She and her husband Len Goreham have two children and they are members of St. Josephs Church.
District One (Northwest Cobb) is known for its picturesque rural areas, as well as one of Georgia's largest retail shopping districts around Town Center Mall. The region is home to a growing number of international corporations, including Yamaha and Cryolife and Georgia's third busiest airport, Cobb County Airport-McCollum Field.
